Play this game against a friend and see who can make the biggest number!
Take a standard deck of cards and remove all the tens, jacks, queens, kings, and jokers. For this game aces are “1’s”.
On a sheet of paper, each player needs to make a chart like this:
The table can be adjusted based on how many place values you want to use and how many games you want to play.
Deal out 6 cards and keep them face down. (Note, if you play with a different number of place values, you need to deal out one more card than the number of place values you are using.)
Flip over the top card.
Each person writes that number in one of the 6 columns. The “Garbage” column is for the number the player doesn’t want to use for their five-digit number.
Note: Once a number is in a column, it cannot be moved to another column later in the game.
Flip over the remaining 5 cards one at a time and write each of the other numbers in a remaining column.
Whoever has the highest number at the end, wins.
